150 Students Participated in the Marathon Held in the Suez University’s Youth Halls of Residence Week (Photos)

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayyed Abdel-Azim Al-Sharqawy, Suez University President, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta–Vice-President of Suez University for Education and Students Affairs–and a group of faculty members participated in the marathon organized by the University on Wednesday morning within the proceedings of the University’s Youth Halls of Residence Week.

One hundred and fifty students from various Egyptian universities competed in the marathon, which started from Gate 5 in Port-Tawfiq, passing through the insurance hospital, then the cornish and ending at the cenotaph of the unknown solider which was the female participants’ endpoint, whereas the marathon of the males extended to the social club and then back to the cenotaph. Security and traffic forces participated in securing the participating students, as well as the ambulance organization that provided the necessary medical care for the participants.

Islam Sayed Qarni–student at the University of Assiut–won the male marathon runners, Zagazig University ranked the second, and Helwan University came in third place. Zeniab Sayed–a student at Zagazig University–won the female marathon runners, Suez University came in second place, and Sadat University ranked the third in the running race.
