Suez University Organizes the Annual Religious Seminar to Celebrate the Honorable Prophet’s Birthday

Suez University organized today its annual religious seminar to celebrate the honorable prophet’s birthday. The seminar was held in the Faculty of Arts under the auspices and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayyed Abdel-Azim Al-Sharqawy, the University President, and in the presence of the prominent and brilliant radio presenter Mr. Reda Abdel-Salam, the senior presenter in AL-Qura’n Al-Kareem radio channel, professor Al-Desouqy Eid, Vice-President for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs and professor Ali Hussein Atta, Vice-President for Education and Students Affairs. Prof. Dr. Gamal Ragab Sedbi, professor of Islamic philosophy, the former University Vice-President and the organizer of the seminar, delivered a speech in the seminar.

In his speech, the University President stressed how important it is for the community and the whole nation to follow in the footsteps of the Messenger–Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him–for the principles he set are the way to righteousness and goodness of the whole humanity and mankind.

Also, in his speech, Prof. Dr. Gamal Sedbi talked about the honorable prophetic tradition and the life of the Messenger–Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him–as well as the tolerant values of religion, which involves principles of protecting oneself from extremism and the destructive ideas.

Relatedly, in his speech Mr. Reda Abdel-Salam emphasized how safety is a blessing and a great message to achieve peace of mind and security in the society and the country as well as to preserve the fundamentals of stability. Mr. Reda Abdel-Salam also spoke about the human side of the noble prophet’s life.

It is worth mentioning that the seminar was very well received by the University students and the deans of the faculties.
