  • Planning, coordinating, organizing and following-up issues.
  • Studying and preparing the general policy for postgraduate studies and research at the university, and coordinating among them at university faculties.
  • Drawing the policy to achieve cooperation and coordination among departments in the university’s faculties and institutes with regard to postgraduate studies and research.
  • Preparing general plans for the university’s missions and study leaves and for dispatching foreign scholarships.
  • Preparing a program to complete the number of teaching staff whether inside the universities or outside them to form integrates teams of researchers in various disciplines.
  • Devising a policy for dispatching universities’ teaching staff in scientific missions.
  • Planning for holding conferences, scientific symposia and seminars at the university and for participating in other ones whether inside or outside the country.
  • Offering advice and recommendations on the executive regulations of post-graduate studies and research affairs.
  • Coordinating approval of post-graduate students at the university.
  • Setting up a scientific research mechanism at the university.
  • Setting up a system for sabbatical leaves for post-graduate studies and research at the university.
  • Discussing faculties’ reports, scientific conferences’ recommendations, scientific communities’ reports and the annual report of vice president for post-graduate studies and research and assessing and revising systems.

  • Analyzing all data and statistics concerning teaching staff, teaching assistance, demonstrators, post- graduate studies and research in addition to rare disciplines at the university.

  • Managing the scientific research fund at the university.
  • Receiving the scientific issues from various technical and scientific agencies and distributing them to specialized faculties of the university.
  • Exemption of post-graduate students from certain courses .
  • Determining the scheduling of post- graduate students’ examination across all the faculties.
  • Deciding on scientific research rewards for post-studies.
  • Deciding on overseas missions and the foreign grants and reporting the academic leaves.
  • Dispatching teaching staff in scientific missions and attending scientific symposia and conferences.
  • Permitting scientific full-time leaves for professors.
  • Gathering scientific researches, encouraging and distributing them among the university teaching staff.
  • Distributing the university scientific research budget in accordance with the suggested programs.
